'Red Satin' tickseed is a hybrid Coreopsis cultivar noted for its velvety ruby-red flowers, thin, thread-like foliage, and long-lasting, colorful blooms that tolerate a variety of conditions and environments. Much like many other Coreopsis cultivars, 'Red Satin' grows to a manageable size of one to two feet tall and is resistant to high heat and seasonal drought, deer and rabbit browsing, and poor soils filled with sandy and rocks, and with the added disease resistance of the Permathread™ lineage, this beautiful red tickseed will be a long-lasting and long-living addition to any garden space.

Performing best in harsh sunlight and in poor soils, 'Red Satin' is a great choice for sunny beds, rock gardens, and pollinator plantings in drier or sunnier parts of the property. Red, summer-blooming flowers are attractive to a number of butterflies and important pollinators, and the same blooms are highly regarded for cut flower arrangements. In addition, with regular cutting of flower stalks, this cultivar can be encouraged to rebloom from early summer until fall frosts!
