A classic perennial, Echinacea purpurea (Purple Coneflower) is a top performing perennial that blooms profusely from mid to later summer and may re-bloom in the fall. Very versatile and adaptable and attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and a variety of birds and bees. Can be used in meadows, prairies, perennial beds and boarders, and cottage gardens, and great for cut flowers. Straight species grows 24-60" tall and 18-24" wide and freely self-seeds and can become aggressive.

Draught and deer tolerant, thrives in full sun and average dry to medium moisture, well drained soils. Remove spent flowers to encourage further blooms, prorogate by division in spring or fall.
