Hydrangea paniculata 'Pink Diamond' is a showy, compact panicle hydrangea regarded positively for its very large flower panicles, up to 12" long, which emerge white and pale pink in July and mature to bright pink by the end of summer, with persistent panicles lasting well through the winter. Growing to only 5-10' tall, 'Pink Diamond' is a great choice for show flowering shrub, attracting a wide variety of pollinators and putting on a fabulous fall show when its leaves turn to yellow and eventually purple.
Best served by organically rich, well-draining soil and full to part-sun, 'Pink Diamond' is a great choice for flowering hedge or small specimen tree, but also works great in large containers or planted near foundations. This panicle hydrangea is best pruned in late winter or early spring to encourage new growth and profuse flowering.
